Program Description
Comprehensive tobacco addiction treatment programs are now being offered to all smokers who wish to break free from their tobacco addiction. We have been treating tobacco addiction since 1989 when our first outpatient Smokers Treatment Centre opened on Bank Street in Ottawa, Canada. We have a very high recovery rate by positioning relapse as a learning event and not a failure exercise. We guide you through a professional recovery planning process designed by experience and specifically adapted to meet your own personal needs.
You will be fully prepared to:
• identify the nature of the condition you are encountering
• develop a specifically designed recovery action plan
• learn the basic skills, strategies and tools necessary to win your ‘fight for life’
- PLUS – A Recovery Manual, Journey Stones
• Journal, Meditation Book, Charts
• Stories, Smudging Materials, Poems
• Survival Kit, Tennis Balls, Whistles, Crazy Putty

"The Tobacco Addiction Specialist program is a unique comprehensive approach in understanding the nature of tobacco addiction and how best to assist those who suffer from this disease. What a privilege it was for me to partake in this great learning environment which was facilitated by such a remarkable addictionologist. His vast knowledge and expertise in this field coupled with his genuine compassionate healing nature, served as a great role model. I strongly recommend anyone interested in helping those afflicted with tobacco addiction to take this course."
— Elena Valente, Health Consultant, Cancer Center"My experience with the Tobacco addiction specialist counseling program was highly educational due to the holistic approach of the course structure & contents. It very was powerful in terms of the team dynamics and bonding. I found it quite inspirational; it created the opportunity for soul searching which could be attributed to the immensity of the instruction team’s profound knowledge, vast experience, down to earth and a genuine compassionate character. I believe the experience not only offered a wealth of clinical, scientific knowledge, practical tools, and historical human based data, it also made available the possibility of exploring our own individual potential for growth, acceptance of our nobility and attaining inner peace before we empower the clients to explore theirs with our coaching skills. I unequivocally recommend this experience to any individual who has the urge and dedication to serve other human beings. Those who are willing to render their services to empower the tobacco addicted individuals to gain control over their lives, to be emancipated from the powerful control of tobacco addiction, will need to take this course!"
— Riaz Mostaghim, Counselor, Community Health Center"The Tobacco Addiction Specialist Program was informative and enlightening. I was touched by the intense yearning of the teachers, facilitators, and course editors to reach out and attempt to help those individuals who are fighting to save their lives. There was not only a teaching of presented materials but a deep sharing of love, life, and respect for our fellow beings. It was no accident that I stumble upon this course. It not only presents future opportunities but instilled a growth both emotionally and spiritually. I fell I have developed a clearer vision and a more open heart through the sincere and professional efforts of our professor, Murray Kelly."
